oops, I called it a Texas Ranger, because that's what a friend from Texas called it. I don't know how to edit the post, or I would change it.

Anyway, it looks like the Salvia Greggi that someone asked about sprouting in water below. Someone else said it rots too easily.

All I can say is that I took woody stems, and changed the water frequently and now have roots.

FYI: The plant usually named "Texas Ranger" is: Leucophyllum frutescans.

Good for you on getting the greggii to root.... I never have luck trying to root anything in water.
