Oil, molassis and vinegar? Sounds like salad dressing. I think I'd get some Safer's Garden spray and get serious.

I agree with Westelle, Safer's is your best bet.
I know I'm not an expert but I use vinegar as an herbicide, and I use molassis to feed my composting microbes so I don't see how they're supposed to kill bugs.

Safers soap will only work on soft bodied bugs like aphids and mealybugs. What exactly is a 4-line bug? Can you find a picture of it on google to send me?

C. Malcolm Beck, Texas Bug Book describes them an the Adult is yellowish green and black with four jet black lines on the pronoun (shield behind the head) and forewings.

I had some hard shelled bug that reflected a gold color on my argentea. Ii have never seen anything like it before. I just put on my gardening gloves with the rubber on them and would go out and squish em - yuk!

Those bugs did a number on my dalhias and I used sevin dust.
Got rid of them in a day.

I used Ortho's Bug-Be-Gone and it worked great.
