removing it from the original pot can be an issue all by itself. Sometimes I end up breaking the pot. Dividing the clump I have used clippers but I also use a hatchet to break it apart. Only you can decide how large/small of a clump you want to replant in each pot.
I've been known to toss out those left over Sans. that are fairly common.
It is pretty hard to make a mistake with these guys.

Maybe you can leave the extras somewhere someone might see to pick them up if they want?

My small neighborhood library has houseplants, like Pothos & Spiders. Maybe see if yours does & would accept donation?

Yeah, somebody would want them. Bet they wouldn't last an hour by the curb. You could likely find someone who has a plant you want, who wants to trade it for your Sans. Those tubes they mail blueprints in can hold Sans well.

Cost of postage is too high even at First Class. Cost of tube then another $10 postage when I find them in the stores at about the same cost. Best if some one picked them up at the house. You could go on Crage's List and post them. I sold a few of my overgrown Agaves there. Even if you just throw some away. They will benifit with a repotting.

I trade plants all the time, usually a medium size flat-rate box, which is $12.30, and can hold a ton of different of plants. Got one yesterday with about 15 different Sedums, and some hens'n'chicks type plants. Sans are just the wrong shape for that kind of box unless they're new pups. The tube plus postage should be $8-something. I suggested the tube so the leaves wouldn't have to be cut so short to fit in one. Whether or not you could find something you wanted in return would determine if it's worth it to you or not. I can't drive to any store and back and buy a plant for under $8 but someone who lives near many stores might have an easier time finding plants they want to buy. I've traded many plants I didn't want (so much of, usually) for those I did.
