I want to know also! Spent a couple of hours getting seeds out and another hour removing prickles.

Still can't find Trudi's post about extracting the seeds without so much pain, but I have had some succcess by using tweezers to remove some of the needle-sharp pieces from the center of the seedpod. Once a few are out, the pieces are so large they can be grasped from the side (if you're very careful). The seeds come out in the process. I have learned from others that they recommend shaking the seedpods vigorously in bags to dislodge the seeds, but I'm a bit impatient with the shaking method. Somehow I feel like I can control the process more with the tweezer method.

Yeah I tried it once with tweezers, OK. Another is just to wait till super-dry and tap very hard with anything - eg a pen- to dislodge them
