An excellent source for CA natives is the Theodore Payne Foundation. They are devoted to saving and spreading these lovely and drought tolerant species. Your buckwheats are in the Eriogonum section on the seedlist. They *are* beautiful-- I couldn't imagine the CA hills w/o them... :)
