I got seeds of this two yrs ago and it has finally bloomed. I was unable to determine the height it would go or cold hardiness from the info on the internet.

I did find out it was native to Afganistan.

I posted here and someone wondered if it was called another name.

Anyway here's what I can tell you about mine in zone 5a

It is hardy here.

It is in bloom with purple flowers identical in color to "Johnson blue" geranium now and is 30 inches tall.

It is by far my largest salvia- very thick stemmed and more substantial than s. transylvanica. The leaves are 8 inches long.
