Hello All! First of all, I apologize because I am not sure this is the correct forum on which to post this question. I had received seeds in a trade that were supposed to be Oenothera Evening Primrose. They germinated, and what I think are evening primroses are getting pretty big. I went to move a container of one said plant. It has little hairs on the stems, and when I went to move the plant, the little hairs got me. I immediately got an itching sensation and formed little white bumps on a reddened area. Is evening primrose hairy? And do these hairs cause an itcy reaction? I am just trying to make sure that what I have growing is, in fact, evening primrose and not some toxic weed. If it isn't evening primrose, any idea what it might be? Any information will be much appreciated. Thank you.
