In our 104+ degree temps and no end to this drought in sight.I have some coral nymph in the sun and it is struggling to stay alive(watered daily). My coral nymph in shade that needs watered heavily twice a week is at 18"still flowering but it has been a hard year on all the Salvias.

Hybridsage, That's an understatement. I ran out of water this morning. We stopped watering most things but some pots, moths ago. I will see what still survives. The Regla is hanging in. I am hoping most are dormant.

Ahh,the fun of gardening in harsh environments. The monsoon started here 2 weeks late but we sill received 3 inch of rain in July. My Live Oaks Quercus emoryi and Q. toumeyi just re-leafed after the February freeze. I know what you guys are dealing with.

The future is not looking good for us here in Texas the
La nina that produced this drought is starting back up.
The high pressure dome that is always over us in the summer
is not helping matters. Our typical heavy rains in March-May
did not occur this year that is when we most of our rainfall.
The folks in the Houston area have it worse than we do.
I will make a post later on what Salvias has survived our weeks of 105-108 temps so far.
