It may need more light to flower more frequently it may need some fertilizer, or new soil, less water might help has well, perhaps more heat, and air, it could need several chages, I'm not there and see any of the above, this year I had very few flowers. Last year the whole collection was in flower. Each each species need different conditions to live and flower, is yours a tropical species, or a grassland species, or perhaps came from ancient coral beds or a wet land type from the jungles,stream, by the falls, from the east coast countries? Knowing the species would be of help, does it have soft tips on new leaves, are the leafs thick, round or thin and flat. Are roots above the soil, or below. These are the reasons I can't give you the reponse you want to hear. Norma

To answer your question, 24 years is a LO-O-O-N-G time to wait for a flower. Sansevieria will bloom when the leaves mature - normally within a few years. Now that your plant has bloomed, it will not bloom again. Instead, it will want to put its energy into producing more pups.

I had one Sansevieria, rough blue gray leaves, that would bloom every year but most of mine would not predictably bloom.

Albert, that sounds like a very nice species. Mine don't flower every year. I'm now wall to wall Sansevieria. I also found out that they will tolerate colder temps, then I previusly thought as long as i don't water this time of the year. The crazy plants are putting on new growth now, this seems strange to me.
