They are small and dark like poppy seeds. I just cut the stalks and hang them upsidedown in a bowl and let them dry a bit. I shake cuttings and the seed falls out. I must say, my lavender does not produce a lot of seed, but there is generally enough for a few trades or gifts.

The worst thing that comes of this is that your house smells wonderful. I love the scent of lavender.

We'd like to grow an acre of lavender in Pa. but can't find bulk seeds.
