The only problem at Cabrillo is the LBAM quarantine. I know, because it kept me from bringing back cuttings of about 40 different sages. The situation with the light brown apple moth is in strong flux.

Try Sandy Mush Herb Farm. There are other sources as well.

Mine came from Native Sons, who only sell wholesale. You would have to find a retail nursery that does business with them and could order it for you.

Look also for nurseries which sell Salvia aurea, as this is a synonym for Salvia africana-lutea.

You might be able to get seed - even here it occasionally makes a few, but I must say mine gave up the ghost this summer (fed up with all the rain, probably!), so I'm looking for it, too! It's a weed in S Africa, so any contacts there might have seed - but it probably can't be sent (legally) to the US? There is a variety called 'Kirstenbosch' which has smaller, prettier leaves and skips the yellow stage with the flowers, so this might be the one to get if you manage to locate a choice of plants....
