Torenia set lots of seeds unless you have the so called "perennial" variety, which is sterile. The annuals pods are just those little greenish bits where the flowers fall off - they eventually brown a little before splitting but can be collected just before and put in a paper bag to finish ripening. Seed is small, round and a cream to light brown colour.

I got some Torenia seed in a trade and it was so tiny and nearly transparent. In fact they came in a plastic envelope and I thought it was empty at first. They came up very nicely and I hope to gather seeds. I will look for the tiny pods. Thanks for the help.

In case anyone else is wondering - One of the Angelonia pods "burst", so I assume that means they are ready for harvest. The pod got to be a bit over 1/4" round and turned really light tan and dry. It split on the side. There were many, small tan seeds in it.

I'll have to wait until next year to see how they do!

Those seeds should be good. I also noticed the pods and saved as many as I could find. I just started them 4 or 5 days ago and I see action, slight sprouting. I also checked the price of the seed as I wanted different colors, not, too much.
