I'm surprised the Huntington is sending out holy plants :-); however, the hole apparently is doing no harm. No harm, no foul. I would leave it alone expecially if removal might make the plant look lopsided in any way.

Maybe I should ask, how big is this hole and does it make the plant look unsightly. To cut or not to cut is really your call. If you cut, I would do it next Spring and plant the leaf to grow more plants.

The hole is about an inch and over the top half of the leaf. Imagine a oval notch cut out of the top and that's what I've got. I spoke with John from the Huntington's and he said he did notice that, but since it was dry and healed, he thought it would be ok. I think I'll leave it for now and maybe when the plant is more established, cut that leaf off. Thanks

The plant is, of course, scarred for life with a disfigured leaf. Maybe that was the best plant they had at the time. If they had perfect plants, a replacement should have been offered.
