This was my first year growing penstemon and I had some good flowering. The stalks have lots of hard brown pods, but they are almost indestructible. It takes much more force than with other plants to break open these pods.

When I do the seeds look just like the kind I planted last year but still wondering if others experience these "armored-pods"
