I take pictures with my digital camera of the plants from which I collect the seeds. Because someone always wants to know what they look like in Feb or March and that way I have a great reference for myself as well.
I have read that if the seed is from a hybrid plant it will not be the same as host plant the next year.

The best way to label them honestly for trade is to just explain that the were open pollinated (OP). That is kind of a 'disclaimer' for color variations!

Actually seeds from hybrids might not come true--or they might. They can revert to one of the parents and can be a nice surprise--

Thanks for the help on this! I think I will label them as off a single wine red plants that was open pollinated.

I am pretty sure these did not come from a hybrid because they where from a previous trade with a group on the GW.
