A couple of tips..... you know those seedheads tht you have to bag...... to harvest...... lest squirrels etc. get them...... and yes I have plenty of other seedy plants and sprinkle some on the ground for the squirrels and birds..... they don't need my hybrid sunflowers...... most reccomend pantyhouse ....... but what has worked for me..... less impenetrable but far more appealing is wrapping a big leaf around the seedhead and tying with a string..... you hardly notice its there...... also I just read you can use kittylitter.... besides silica gel and milk..... dehydrated OF COURSE to keep wetness out of your seed envelopes...... I guess there's one upside to having a cat...... :)
