I have one Salvia G. Black & Blue that I didn't put in the ground this summer. I kept it in a large container. Well now I am thinking that perhaps I should bring it inside for the winter ( I was going to just let it die off since I haven't got a greenhouse and my kitchen is full of plants already). I thought that if I root pruned it and put all new soil in the container that it would do better over the winter. I have never done this before so please feel free to offer suggestions. It has currently lost most of its leaves during the storm last week but new ones are emerging on the almost bare stems which haven't been cut back. Our temps here in western NY have been in the high 50's to high 60's during the days but temps are supposed to fall into the 30's and 40's this week.
