I have S x "Riverside" that has performed well in full sun. But you will need the 40% shade for puberula side of
that hybrid.

I have this plant in morning sun only (afternoon shade), and it's happy there. My karwinskii plants (I now have all 3 types! I love them for winter color) do best in only part sun, as do my puberulas.

Recently, I was excited to finally find a S. tubifera for sale at UCB, but it turns out it's their puberula (now flowering), ARGH. I didn't need another!

thanks all. i have since moved it to my 50% shade house. I have a spot planned that is morning sun only. Voodoobrew do have S. keerlii? I haver some that are going to be ready soon for Rich, do yo want one as an apology.... I didnt know what is was, still dont really. thats why its going to rich, and i sent some seed to robin. They both think thats what it is, but need to look at it.
