Just put them in a paper envelope and store it in a cool dark dry spot. Your basement if moist is not a good spot. A closet or drawer in a cool room is a good spot.
Oh the reason for leaving them in a open bag for a couple weeks is so excess moisture still in the seed can dissipate. The seeds are sort of large for seeds, and though dry looking to us, they can still have tiny bits of moisture in them. If kept together tightly before being dry, moisture can be held between the seeds and cause mold to form which will kill the seed.

Thanks for your reply! Never thought of closet or drawer! You explained nicely about moisture and gave great suggestion I hadn't heard of. Love the vine----sure hope they work next Spring.
