I haven't tried yet, but from what I've found, the best thing to do is to sprinkle them on soil that the original parents grew in (whether on the ground or in a pot), and then cross your fingers. Or just try to grow them on any non-sterile soil and hope that the fungi it needs to germinate live there.

I have tried sprinking the seeds from a Phaius Tankervillae, which was in a large pot, near the mother plant and it worked fine.
I intend to try the same trick with the Bletilla Ochracea in a few months in an effort to get a mass planting outdoors even tho the plants were relatively inexpensive at the local garden store.
