I'm almost done mulching but am totally enjoying the garden this time of year, too. I've got Miss Kim lilac in bloom, Baptisia, azalea, wallflower, some iris, Clematis Nelly Moser, 1 rose, and allium. I'm done with planting for the season but have to pick up some more mulch today. Problem is, how to keep from buying even more plants! I have no control!!! LOL.

I just came back from a swap yesterday with an armload of plants to plant, and I still have a lot of winter-sown seedlings that need to go in my yard and the garden at work.

But it is nice to just sit back and admire, isn't it? The lilies of the valley are just finishing, but the peonies are just starting, and the bearded iris are blooming in the alley. All the roses, the climbers and the little ones, as well as the in-between are just starting their first flush. Sweet william, and mock orange and chives (time to make chive butter!)

The wallflowers in the alley are just about done, and I'll miss that heady scent. Snow-in-summer is still going strong, and there's alyssum popping up everywhere. Plus....

My neighbor actually mowed the lawn! So it's time to sit in the back with iced tea or a nice cold beer, and enjoy the yard. I toast you all, and hope you're doing the same!
