Anyone have a source for South African bulbs?

Hi all, I've checked the obvious sources (Telos, Oddysey, Guy Winkle, Glasshouseworks, Bob Smolley), but haven't been very successful in finding a source.

I'm specifically looking for Boophone that are summer growing. Telos has, but I had to order by OCTOBER 2003 to have one reserved for spring shipping. Since these bulbs are 2 to4 years from flowering, I really don't want to lose another season.

Of course, I'd be happy to TRADE for one - even a blooming sized one. Take a look at my trade list, and CONTACT ME, as I have not listed my rare and exotics.

The only person I know who has a commercial business in the United States selling South African bulbs is Jim Duggan (www.thebulbman.com). While it is unlikely that he has a Boophone which he will sell you, he has many other SA bulbs for sale and the quality and cost are excellent.

As you probably have found out, Boophones are rarer than hen's teeth here. If you can, it would be a good idea to join the International Bulb Society (www.bulbsociety.org). Personal contacts can be made there, and someone might be willing to sell you one.
