Bleeding Heart Question

I bought a bleeding heart plant (Asian Dicentra Spectabilis)today and I can't tell if it has bloomed yet this year. Plant looks to be several years old. Came in a container slightly bigger than a gallon size. Do you think it would have already bloomed yet this year? I'm in zone 7b, borderline zone 8. Thanks for your thoughts!

I would guess that it probably did. But it doesn't matter , its a perrenial so u have it yr after yr. Mine is doing well this yr cause its still cool and it was quite rainy. they like the cooler weather. when it gets hot they die back.

My bleeding heart is still blooming. It's a fern-leaf, if that makes a difference. You are quite a bit farther south than I am in MD. Could be done for this year. If you bought it on sale, then it's bloom is probably over.
