My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
If you are looking for the old fashion plant look for Rose Moss or Moss Rose seeds. If you are looking for the larger leafed plant that is currently fashionable I have only seen as plants.
It is too late to plant portulaca for flowers this year. You might end up with a few flowers but only until frost kills the plants. It would better to wait until December to purchase unless you find the seeds on the 10 for $1.00 racks that can appear at any time of the year.
Thank you for your follow-up. You may be interested to learn that my single portulaca seed self-sowed. I didn't have to plant seeds, since enough germinated (In zone 5b)to keep going year after year. I've relocated my home and was suprised to learn that I can't find seeds for single flowers for love nor money. Again, thank you for responding.
Good idea, but I'm the old/new owner. I returned here after almost 20 years away. I did find a source online in quantity at seedsavers exchange. I've reclaimed, and am trying to recreate, part of the garden as a nostalgia area. It's been fun.
I know it's 2 years later, but often times you can find single portulaca seeds on ebay- people like you and me (not businesses) collect them from their garden and sell them and they are not expensive. I grew up with them all over the yard and searched high and low for seeds a few years back and found them on ebay. Good Luck!!!
