I have a slop area with pine straw. The straw has been washed down to the neighbor more than 10 times for 6 months. I am thinking of buying small marble chips (size is like egg rocks) and put them in the area. The reason why I am thinking of small marble chips is because we don't have any big marble chip supply store nearby. I am not sure where those public places along the highways with big marble pieces come from but definitely not local, especially with big loads.

Would these small marble chips still work, if I put several inch high?
