Is it really irrelevant? I am not trying to be annoying here, but my bermuda grass, for instance, grows about 1/2 inch apart from each other. And I have had times in my life (not proud of it) when I have not cut the grass in my backyard for some time and it grew to about 3-4 feet. (yes, I know- I shudder now at what my neighbors must have thought- but I didn't care back then, being an irreverent college kid). It also has the little seed part on it, too, when it gets that tall. I guess I am just interested if you have actually tried it that close together (2 inches) or if anyone else has and what their results were. Thanks!

if really want know if it will grow at 2 inch distance I suggest you.test it yourself. As for wheat spacing I suggest you ask USDA.
