Of the 2 Kelloggs Breakfast plants I have, only one has true leaves so far, and it has regular leaves. The plantfiles page (on DG) says regular leaf, so I'd guess you may have a surprise on your hands!

I potted up the only one with true leaves, and labeled it KB, so let's hope that's what it is! I have Brandywine growing, so I'm tempted not to plant the other two (not) KB, as they are possibly Brandywine in disguise. But if I don't, I might be missing some other fantastic potato leaf variety!

All the seeds were free, so I'm sure not complaining!

if they are huge maters! then it could be brandywine, i think that's what grovespirit told me it was, i just googled them and also one said it was a hillbilly, i planted some of those, we'll see, although i have to replant some, because i have NO idea which are which and the wind blew them away!! LOL can you post a pic??

Medo, they are identical to the Brandywines. They could be either that or the Hillbilly, so if I have room I'll plant one and see what I come up with. Otherwise, the Brandywine wins the spot in the garden.

they could be KBX which is a potato leaf version so to speak of kellogs breakfast taste the same the fruit look the same only KBX is more productive and the potato leaves have better disese rsistance.

daylilyfanatic, that is interesting! Do you think one of three from the same packet would revert to a regular leaf? I guess I'd better make sure to plant one of the potato leaf varieties. Thanks for the response.

it's possible that one seed could revert back to regular leaf, it could be a mix up though you could ask over at the tomato forum. if you put the words winter sown.org in the title trundi might see the post she might knoe the answer since the seeds are from her.
