Hello all. :-) I am building several raised beds for my veggies. I have been reading through different threads on some of the forums here. I have read a few people saying that they have had problems with Mel's Mix (1/3 compost, 1/3 vermiculite, 1/3 peat) in dry weather conditions.

As that was what I was planning on using, and before I spend the money on it, I was wondering what other's experiences were?

Have you used Mel's Mix? If so, what were your results?

Or what other soil mix did you use, and did that work?
