That looks really good to me, what is that on the bottom? looks like good old fashion grass! Let me know as I am basically a nooby =)

Good old java moss. Seems to grow anywhere I place it. You'll see how far it's spread when I get my new pictures in the next week or two.

Great job!! I'd be interested to hear about what your substrate setup is.

Substrate is simple: coir. Nothing but that nice, ground up coconut stuff that we sell at the pet store I work at in the expanding bricks. The surface is then covered in dead sphagnum moss and dead schefflera (spelling?) leaves, which after the first few weeks really blend in to give a natural look. If you want to actually get into the entire layering though, it's a false bottom, supported on plastic eggcrate, followed by a layer of fiberglass window screening, then coconut mat material used for hanging baskets to keep pretty much any of the bedding from falling through.

Looks great! check out kingsnake.com or dendroboard for the PDF. there are always people selling, or you can place a want ad.
