very cool! how big are those balls? how did you plant them? with tweezers? where did you find those balls?

I bought the balls at a local sports shop, they have a toy and craft section in there basement. I bought these on closeout after Christmas a couple of years ago. They've been sitting in a closet wating for me to do something with them. I was going to plant mini terrariums in them last year but never got around to it. A few days ago someone posted saying they had made mini terrariums in Christmas balls. I dug to the bottom of the closet and found mine and used voluntear mosses and baby plants from around my house to plant them.

I went to a craft store yesterday and looked at 4" clear balls but the quality was so poor I didn't buy any. I guess I'll stick with these realy mini ones. :-) I think you can see what size then are in the picture where I'm holding one in my hand. The one where the top is on the ball.

oooppsss sorry I used plastic (hours'devores' hmm don't know how to spell that) Cocktail snack fork and a plastic cocktail sword. I made a funnel form a recipe card to put the soil into the container. I used plastic canves as a sieve for the potting soil so I'd get a fine textured planting medium.
