Fzouk - I'm in the same general area, and new to gardening to TN, but I've found an amazing amount of info at the UT website (http://www.utextension.utk.edu/publications/homeGarden/default.asp). There's one publication (to name just one) that gives a timetable for planting out in this area, and other publications tell you how many weeks before setting out your seeds should be started. A wealth of info on veggies, fruits, trees, ornamentals, pests, diseases, you name it. Well worth the time - pdf files can be saved to your puter or printed. Good luck!

We just started TN gardening two years ago and soon realized that when it came to starting seeds we had a lot to learn! The best guide I have found I just discovered and it is located at: www.rareseeds.com/guide. It is an heirloom seeds planting guide and is quite specific. Also I often visit www.homesteadblogger.com where I have learned a wealth of information on being more self sufficient.
