If the ground dries up a little, trees, shrubs, and most perennials can be planted anytime from now through early spring. The times, in this area of the country, that you want to avoid are mid to late spring, all summer, and early fall.

There are so many good mail order nurseries, it's hard to know where to start. I will try to name a few that come to mind, but there are many more to consider. Always check possible sources out through Garden Watchdog before buying.
