Do you have an Ace Hardware store in your area? I just purchased one, the only one, bag for $4.29 a bag. I plan to add it to my beds. I used 1/3 peat moss to 2/3 compost. When I saw this bag I picked it up. Ask and see if someone can order it for you and what the price would be. I was looking at the nursery and it was very expensive.

Christmas Tree Shops always has the most interesting gardening merchandise. I purchase pots there all the time. They are always good for my supply of plant markers and cheap gardening gloves.

Are they the 8 qt bags? Since there are 25.75 dry quarts in a cubic foot, that adds up to around what I paid for the larger bags per cubic foot, but less travel time. It may be higher for others.

I'll be going there this week so I will look for these. I have a couple of containers that I'd like to fill with a batch of Mel's Mix.

3 cu. ft. bags of Micaflakes(insulation) at Menard's for 9.99. I checked the MSDS and there is nothing added to it.
