I also think you did the right thing. Hopefully the frog will eat and gain weight with no competition or intimidation, and you'll be able to return him to the main group once he's their size. I've always read that you need to actually watch them eat, to make sure they're getting it. If he's severely starved, you might need to almost hand-feed him at first so that he doesn't waste energy trying to catch the food. I've heard it works if you tie some dead food (freshly killed) onto some fishing line and dangle it in front of the frog so that the frog thinks it's alive (because it's moving) and eats it. I don't know how you make sure the frog doesn't eat any fishing line. =)

I have 3 RETF's I know they are nocturnal but I always see them up on the glass sleeping I sleep late at night and wake up early and they are always asleep and when I wake up in the middle of the night I see them up but they hardly ever move.

Now that the frog has his own terrarium, he is doing a lot better and is eating agin. Problem solved!

Angelo, my redeyes are very active all night long and are almost constantly in motion. They move pretty slow, mind you, but they definatly traverse the walls, ceiling, and plants in search of food. I wonder why yours don't do the same? Maybe it's because I have baby RETF's...

I would say yes, a 25 gal is too small for 5 juvies. 3 perhaps would be okay, but not 5. Food and territory competition would probably get too fierce. Why do you ask though? Don't you like them in your big tank?
