Hi, i planted 25 asparagus crowns in a 4x4x12 box. about 1/2 of them have come up, of course not all in the same row. some are up 12" and some just a few inches.

so my questions are - i mounded up around those are up about 4-12". will those that have not sprouted come up?

will they come up through the extra soil around the other plants? i guess i don't know how much soil they will grow thru. is there hope that the others will come?

i planted them about mid may. the weather has been very wet with both hot humid days and cool days. this week temps only the mid 60's, might have hit 70 today.
