Question for those who trellis tomatoes

I have my tomatoes about 1ft apart and have them pruned to a single vine. This is working out just fine for me.

But a couple of my plants are already at the top or nearing the top of my trellis. The trellis is 6 ft high.

What would you do?

I was thinking of topping them once they over reach the top and then let a sucker live and grow up the trellis, then when I pick all of the ripe tomatoes off of the first vine I can cut that back.

I have room to let a second vine grow, it will be tight, but it can be done.
