Sounds like you know more than me about it but I use compressed coconut fiber for some plants. It says to add organic fertilizer. It's for vivariums and they sell it at the pet store. They also sell the same stuff that's not compressed it just costs more.

Some plants will require different medium mixes that is easy bury a pot and place another pot in it and cover it with a little bark/course old compost mix.

That looks awesome! So what did you mean in that post about watering and the gravel? Do you put some kind of drain it there?

That is the Under Gravel Filter, I put a a layer of Gutter Guard to stop any medium falling through.

In the back LH corned there is a plastic tube covered in 1-3mm gravel to hide it.

That is a UGF all I did was take the top piece of the riser tube off and I water via that tube.

Man there's this Swedish company I'd really like to send a link to you but I don't know how. They've got nice stuff for growing moss is that type of system. I'll try to find the name. It's not in English unfortunately.

I couldn't find it but basically they use a type of mesh and paint on some sort of moss mix. It's kind of brownish at first but it has moss spores in it. There's probably ventilation behind the mesh and the guy says that the whole thing is pricy.
