It was oddly difficult for me to find the appropriate pecan varieties for this region of the US.

Most pecan tree varieties are best suited for Texas to S. Georgia.

Some excellent varieties for this area are Kanza and Lakota pecan trees... there are others, too.... the web sight below provides other options.

I actually ordered some bare root trees from another nursery (Womack Nursery) because they had some Kanza and Lakota in stock. This is a questionable time to plant bare root trees (better in late November), so I will order more from Nolin at that time.
