Got a chance to visit with Frank Galyon yesterday. I always look forward to strolling around his place in the spring every year, the scent of his property will knock you down this time of year. For those that arent familiar with Frank he has been a hybridizer for many years. He has hybridized Magnolia, Camellia, Iris, Daylily, and is probably best known for his Daffodils. He finds it funny that folks know about his giant Needle Palm from all over. He also has a nice Trachycarpus 'Takil'. Hip surgery is keeping him out of the garden this year, but we still managed to get him up to the seedling gardens to observe.
