tomato spacing and cage size

I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to gardening. I've planted some indeterminate tomatoes in my SQF garden. They have 4 squares each, thus 2 feet between plants. I need to support them because the seem to be getting exponential bigger every day! I'm thinking of getting the Texas Tomato Cages. Should I get 24" or 18" ones? The 24" ones would end up touching each other in the garden.

Are these plants too close together? Should I consider trellising them instead of caging them? I would probably have to prune a bit to trellis them, and I was hoping to keep any pruning to a minimum. What do you all suggest?
