I used mushroom compost in my mix. I find a new mushroom or three every day. I just pull them out and throw them away.

I'm guessing that a mushroom and a toadstool are about the same thing.

Caveat: I am totally new to SFG and to gardening in general. Up until now, I have only killed plants. Wait for real advice from someone who knows.

Unless you know the variety, don't eat it or food that's in contact with it. Other than that, you can pull it (and wash your hands) or let it grow and appreciate it. I'd pull it, but then I've watched many mushrooms grow in gardens before - you might enjoy the experience. :)

Thanks for the replies. I have no idea what kind they are, but so far there is no food involved. Corn plants are just about 6 inches, and the other bed is sweet potatoes. Guess I'll just pick them out, add to the compost bin.
