cool nights are not helping.

How hot during the day? High humidity? Have you applied lots of fertilizer?

Could be lots of problems. Give us more details.

Days are warm-normally about 75-78. Then nights much cooler (50s). I did put the reccomended ammt of fertilizer into the soil when first planting them 6 weeks ago. The soil was amended with compost at the same time. My garden gets sun from 6:30am to 8pm right now! I am not sure that tomatoes are possible under these cool conditions but I was really hoping. almost everything else that we have planted is growing incredibly (this is my first garden).

Night time temps in the mid 60's to low 70's are ideal. Lows in the 50's are not good.

There are some varieties (Russian in origin) that do well in cooler climates. Do a search on the Tomato Forum and I am sure some info will pop up.
