Eggs from a moth. when they hatch, will be caterpillars which eat leaves.

I was hoping someone would know what variety of animal this was rather than simply some type of caterpillar. That's why I posted the closeup pics.

Sorry, but that would take someone more expert than I am. And probably more expert than the other folks who haunt this place. Or not.

I'm not about to hatch these to find out what they are and I'm not going to pay $40 to have them ID'd by the county.

Some people would hatch them, then rear them on leaves of the same plant they were found on.

Beyond that, ID is simplified once they hatch.

The pictures are hosted on my website and I used HTML code to link to them. If you have no web storage space, use photobucket or any of the other hosting sites.
When I post an example of the HTML code, the server wants to try to post a pic, so doesn't display the code. The only thing I could do is send you an Email containing the code. Let me know.

I haven't found any more eggs. Now I'm curious as to what these were. I think next time I will hatch them out to see what they are before I destroy them.
