Sorry, but I'm not much for bouquets. I do my sniffing and ogling outside, with the blooms on the plants. :-)

I just planted 70 Gladioli in the early spring. Right now I am enjoying many of them blooming. They were supposed to be white and pink with yellow centers, but they turned out to be cream and bright purple. I love them for cut flowers, but for now, I just want to leave them in the yard. They seem to last at least 1 week if they are cut after most of the flowers on the stem are bloomed out. I will plant a bunch more next year, and hopefully these will come back as well. I think Cleomes are graceful and delicate appearing and would be pretty in a home arrangement. They are an annual that will reseed every year and they come in many different colors. I also like zinnias for color and they have long stems usually.
