That's not a clear picture, but I bet it's that large mallow/hibiscus thing whose name I can't think of right now. Maybe I'll think of it later.....

Confederate Rose?

We're gonna have to get a better pic. It looks more like a green blur than a Hibiscus mutabilis to me.

Almost looks like the red castor beans I grow. Are the leaves reddish colored or is that a problem with the photo?

Let me try to clean the picture up. It was called something star by the relitive.

Yeah, I think it's the hibiscus or mallow with a clear yellow flower and red eye that UT grows every year. I just can't think of its name. Makes a tall plant about 5-6', dies back to the ground every winter. I'll work on it!

Texas Star/scarlet mallow, Hibiscus coccineus, is another more or less similar plant with leaves closer to yours, but it has a red flower.
