Can anyone tell me what this bug is?

This is my first time ever growing a tomato plant. Since I live in an apartment, I just have one plant growing in an upside down planter. It is starting to grow nicely, but just yesterday I noticed the tiny bugs on the leaves.

Can anyone tell me what they are and how to get rid of them? I'm afraid they will ruin my first plant :(
