This is my second gardening season and last year I had absolutely no problems with my tomatoes. I haven't done much different this year, but my plants are really struggling. They looked perfectly healthy until a couple weeks ago. The problem seems to start as a little leaf curl but the plants have been getting worse. Some of them are still flowering and producing, but others seem to be a bit stunted (I have about 16 plants). A friend who is gardening in a different town with different plants (but same compost) is also having similar problems, but I think mine might be worse. I honestly have no clue what the problem is. I used the same compost I had last year and had great success with, which is on my own property and has not been contaminated to my knowledge. My potatoes are also demonstrating similar leaf-curl problems. However I have tomatoes in different parts of the garden (same soil others are planted in, but the healthy ones are growing alongside peas) that were self seeders I let grow, and they look fine. Maybe there is some sort of nitrogen deficiency (although I grew green beans in this years tomato plot last year)? We have had some strange weather with a very rainy spring, then really hot days, and then lately it's been rather overcast. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
