My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
Well, the box is built, soil and grid in and planting this week-end. I've found so much helpful information online. Any feedback on if I really need to purchase the book? If only one thing grows, I'm hoping for tomatoes. Wish me luck!
I would recommend getting the book. It was very helpful to me when I was just getting started. I have just about finished up my second year of square foot gardening and I still refer back to the book periodically.
I remember reading SFG a while ago. I'll have to dive in again because I'm limited on space.
Just a suggestion on getting any book...check out Amazon or even a local used book store. I've found some great stuff at one nearby. Also, yard sales, although, that's of course more infrequent and hit-or-miss. Have fun and good luck!
The book is worth getting. I've been doing SFG for a few years and refer to it, especially for spacing and crop rotation. If you don't want to buy one, you can try the library, as mentioned above. September seems a little late to start tomatoes, but I don't know where you live, so you may get some before it gets cold.
