Was there any crack or slit in the outside skin of the tomato, even up near the stem, where fungus/bacteria could have gotten inside? Looks like it rotted from the inside.

Pretty much the same question as Teresa in that the second picture shows a side view where one can see that part of the exterior is gone.

So when you first saw this fruit what did it look like and are the others the same or just this one fruit?

otherwise I might be suggesting Gray Wall or Puffiness, but only if the fruits were intact.

Hi Teresa and Carolyn,

I retrieved the tomato from the garbage to more closely examine it. I see no cracks or perforations at all. It's also very dry inside.

No, this is the only fruit that is damaged. However, there's a Tomato a little smaller than a ping-pong ball that looks like it's not perfectly shaped like the others on that plant. It looks like it may have a flattened side. Of course this could be my mind over-scrutinizing:)
