I'd pass on that one even if I had already killed it with Round-Up! Better safe than sorry.

I did it a few years ago.....and NEVER again. Like you, I thought I'd "kill" it first. I swear, the stuff just has more lives than a cat. That year my compost bin was full of bermuda just running everywhere.

The gift that keeps on giving. That stuff came from Africa to the U.S. in the 1750's. The farmers in South Carolina used it as crop grass (crab grass). They started sticking it in Florida golf courses in the 1920's and the rest is southeastern grass history. It's the Kudzu of grasses!!!

It was shown that if logarithmic growth rates could be sustained for 1 year (e.g., through ideal environment and frequent division), then it would be possible for 1 m2 of grass to cover an area equal to 50% of the land area of the world.

That is messed up!!!
